Shop Your Wardrobe

I had great fun putting together this blog post and my poor husband Niall's patience was truely tested - I think he did a great job with the pics though! When it comes to putting together an outfit for any occasion or non occasion I get such pleasure from styling my clothes different ways, not just with the help of accessories but by the magic of layering! You will be amazed at the amount of new outfits you can create by thinking outside the box and not always having to wear items of clothing the way they were intended. I call it 'Shop Your Wardrobe'.

For my first look I wanted to find a different way of wearing my green Warehouse jumpsuit. I bought this jumpsuit back in July for my cousins wedding and since then this little green number has given me a couple of occasions and nights out. But I'm not done with it just yet.

With the assistance of a black statement sleeve top I have turned my jumpsuit into culottes! An entirely new look, you'll agree, without traipsing the shops or spending a penny. I'm delighted with my new outfit!

Feeling pleased with myself over my first outfit creation I decided that next I wanted to find a new way of wearing my print Sugarhill Dress. This dress is just so comfy and easy wear and because of that I have worn it loads (and loads) so I definitely felt it was in need of a fresh look and a little TLC.

Another black top to the rescue and now after a quick shop of my wardrobe I have a new print skirt and top combo. Not bad for someone who didn't leave the house or open her purse! In fact this top had been buried in my chest of drawers (oops), I discovered it last week when I did my clear out (you can watch my video here). That's the beauty of doing a closet clear out, you are guaranteed to find at least one item of clothing that you had forgotten about and all of a sudden it feels like a new piece again.

Most of us have a black jumpsuit in our wardrobes. I have mine 5 years and I still wear it. It has all the benefits of your favourite LBD - perfect for that last minute outfit scramble plus you are always guaranteed to feel and look good while wearing it. I decided to try give mine a little makeover and I am over the moon with the result. I might even wear it out this weekend!

What do you think guys? Do you like my three new outfits? Personally I love them all and adore that they cost me absolutely nothing! What's even more fantastic, is that I have three outfits ready to go for the next time I need to dress up a little.....no planning necessary the work has already been done.

I hope I have inspired you to open up your wardrobe and shop for new outfits. If you have any questions on my post or any style dilemmas please contact me on my Facebook Page or Email

Happy Shopping
