How to wear Gingham

The weekend is on its way so I have put together an outfit inspiration post while we await its arrival. The Gingham trend sprang to mind for this look, and when we think of this checkered print we immediately think of adding a gingham top or gingham dress to our shopping baskets, whereas I think channeling this trend through accessories is a far more fun idea and I love what I have found and hope you do too.

Frills are adding a fabulous detail to our summer tops, what I like about this frilly number is the long sleeves, it's baltic out right now and a long sleeve is a must.

Skip adding jewellery to this top and instead wrap a gingham skinny scarf around your neck. The embroidery detail on this scarf is another nod to this seasons trends and adds a subtle pop of colour to the look.

If you're treating your wardrobe to a new pair of denims this season then think cropped and frayed. This pair is in a gorgeous denim wash and also comes in black.

Blue Frayed Hem Skinnies €34.99......Buy Here
Also available in Black

Flats of nearly every type imaginable are so hot for summer and I'm loving loafers at the moment. This pair below from RI are amazing, I have to admit though the open back has me a little concerned - I need to try these babies on before making judgement on how comfortable they would be to wear. So I have provided a backup plan also from RI just in case.

Finish the look with a crossbody bag in Khaki. Khaki was a strong hue last season and has carried through again to spring summer. A stunning shade to add to your wardrobe.

Hope you liked my Gingham look

Happy Shopping!!
