Get The Look : Nicole Richie

Image from www.fanpix.net

Nicole Richie’s look proves less really is more, she looks effortlessly beautiful. This look is an expression of self confidence. The aim is to give the complexion a healthy glow by using foundation and blusher that subtly enhances your natural skin tone rather than disguise it. This look is one of the hardest looks to achieve - you need careful choice of colour and a light skillful touch. Natural means enhancing your natural look with as little make up as possible, choose warm earthy neutral tones.

Re-Creating the Look

Make sure your skin is really well moisturised. Use a primer to give the best base possible for your foundation to adhere to. Apply a light coverage of foundation like Essence Stay All Day Foundation, conceal problem areas and set with loose powder.

Dust the apples of your cheeks with a soft shade of blusher to create a healthy glow. Try using Essence Silky Touch Blush.

Use an eyeshadow brush to apply the lightest shade of eye shadow all over the lid. Then use a medium shade of shadow in the crease of the eye socket.. Try using Essence Quattro eye shadow sets.

Use a pencil eyeliner along the lash line as close to the lashes as possible placing emphasis on the outer corners.

Apply mascara such as Essence 2 in 1 Volume Mascara. Brush the eyebrows into shape and define if necessary with eyeshadow.

Define the lips with a neutral shadow of lip liner pencil and fill in with lipstick or apply some lip gloss. For a fresh soft and light finish apply Essence Stay with me Long Lasting Lip Gloss in Me and My Ice Cream.

Party Pieces

It's party season!!!!!!! Girls party season does not have to mean new party dress - I have gathered inspiring pics of some of my favourite party looks for winter 2011/12, all are built from stunning affordable high street party pieces. Building your christmas night-out look from separates can cost a little more than the single purchase of a dress, however with separates you have a multitude of options to recreate lots of different looks for all those nights out and dressy nights in. The key is to choose pieces that can be mixed with your existing wardrobe giving a new lease of life to your favourite go-to clothes for a glam night out. Not only will you have a new outfit for your work do, you'll also have new season trends to mix and match recreating looks for whatever events the christmas hols throw at you......drinks with friends, christmas day and new years eve.....
